Whew, haven't posted since right after Thanksgiving - I'm a slacker!
Well, here's a recap of the last 6 months:
We had a wonderful Christmas with my sister and family in South Carolina. Very relaxing! My sister and hubby could have made sandwiches for dinner everyday and we would have enjoyed it. Kids had a great time with their cousins and got most everything that they asked for.
I have a new job drafting again, working for a wonderful company. The job itself can be stressful because of the deadlines, but it is a great job!
We live in our own house now, with a great yard and a giant oak tree to keep the house cool:

 

Bubba has been playing Soccer and Basketball all this time. MJ has been keeping up with her gymnastics, even though we haven't found a good gym. They are both Honor Roll students at school. I'm a proud Momma. Roy loves to fish and has started a vegetable garden.

I am out of practice for writing, so I'm ending this one here.

Dear Santa...

Our Elf on the Shelf "Candy Cane" arrived the day after Thanksgiving. The kids were so happy and excited. Candy Cane slept in the mini-bed that MJ had made for him and got into her candy bag. He has been jumping all over the house when they weren't looking.
Last night I didn't want to listen to the TV or video games, so I put Christmas music on and told the kids to do something. They played with bubbles, then a ball, and then I caught them bouncing on the bed. Finally, since Candy Cane was watching, they wrote their Dear Santa letters:

 MJ wrote: Dear Santa, For Christmas I want McKenna the American Girl Doll with her bed set and accessories or her gymnastics set. An IPod A Puppy (Lab). If you can, could you get me a laptop and I want some craft stuff, like to make all the fun stuff, I really don't know. How is the North Pole, is it cold? I might want some Monster High dolls. Love, MJ

She also drew a Santa picture on the back of the prayer list e-mail. What could it hurt?
